6. Agriculture and the Economy:

-Economy very prosperous, with extensive agriculture, industry and foreign trade. -Depending on religious beliefs, meals were either vegetarian or non-vegetarian -Fruit, vegetables, cereals, bread, and milk were major aspects of their diet -Main crop=wheat -Cows were used for milk production -Domestic and foreign trade greatly contributed to the success of the economy (they traded spices, textiles, ivory, stone, etc.)

-Used outside trade to their advantage for certain materials (i.e. trade with Rome and Southeast Asia provided gold and silver)
